Build a pay-for-membership website

How do you build a website where people have to pay for membership?

My husband and I are trying to build a website. I wont say what kind here, because that would give-away our idea. But what we want to know is… What are the steps to take to create a website  where people would have to pay a one-time membership fee?

Where does the money go to, and how should we start everything off?

There is a book online called "Membership Site Profits" it tells you everything you need to do to start your own membership site and get paid by your members.

The book is rather long but worth the read.

    Good Luck

Wordpress is also excellent for building a web site (not just a blog). There are thousands of Themes you can use to change the look of your site, and heaps of Plugins (both free and paid-for) that help take care of things like on-page SEO, contact pages and advertising. There are also several WP plugins (not free) that will turn Wordpress into a paid membership site.

You could take a look at these:

    iDevspot v1, (buy outright)

iDevspot v2, (pay a monthly fee)

    Rapid Action Profits system
