Website for Powerpoint
I have created a Powerpoint slideshow, and now I want to put it up on the internet as a proper website.
What is involved? What are the things I must do and the costs?
I have never built a web site before, and I have no idea how and where where to get started.
Please help.

First of all: Powerpoints cannot be displayed online, they have to be links.
Second: you must pay for webhosting and a domain name, or you can search for free sub-domain hosting. And example would be http://www.bravenet.com/
your site would look like: http://yournamehere.bravenet.com

free web pages! That’s right, absolutely free, however, if you would like the enhanced features for your web page, minimal fee of $4.99 (US).

You may see more guide about "PowerPoint Slideshow to the Web" at http://www.sameshow.com/other/powerpoint-to-web.html
Generally I recommend Google Page Creator as your starting Website trial. Go to http://pages.google.com

The first post was correct . PowerPoint presentations have to be shown as a link .
I used free hosting for a while but came to realize that it is free for a reason. They make their money off pop ups and advertising.
If this is just a page for you then free is good… Other wise why go free when you can own your own domain name and have it hosted for 1 dollar a month.
I use the 3 dollar package because it gives you the online web builder So you will not have to do the programming .
BUT if you choose a dollar a month package then
godaddy.com – 9.99 a year for a domain
1 dollar a month for hosting
so your cost for a site with your own name with no pop ups is 22.00 a year
I say this because of the freebies that they offer.
Message boards, Blogs, Private pages and you do not have to know how to program.
